Water is essential for all life on earth and it’s also the most common substance on the planet. Without water life as we know it would be impossible. The chemical symbol for water is H2O and this means that it’s made up of one part oxygen and two parts hydrogen.
Water makes up around 70% of our bodies and this is why it’s so important for our health. Water is essential in almost every single process which occurs in our body. The circulatory system and digestive system both rely on water to operate properly.
We are always told that we should drink plenty of water every day, however few people actually realize that this is really so important. Coffee Substitute
Water is a fantastic substitute for coffee in the morning. Instead of drinking a cup of coffee in the morning a cup of water can be just as refreshing. It’s also important to consume plenty of water when exercising. Keeping your body hydrated will reduce the risks of strokes and heart attacks. Other drinks do contain water however these are not as hydrating. Drinks like coffee and soft drinks can actually dehydrate your body.
Water is essential and so it’s a good idea to sip it throughout the day. Even if you don’t feel thirsty you should still sip a glass of water to keep yourself hydrated. When you feel thirsty this means that it’s already too late.
It’s a good idea to drink around eight glasses of water per day; however this is a general average for everyone. The amount of water you need to consume will depend on your own body. Drinking water regularly will help your body’s systems to function at their best.
Water may not seem like a very important substance but it really is essential. Bodies need water to be healthy and without it bodily functions may not work correctly. Drink water and start improving your health today!
